Klaus Zabel, CPA, CA
|Klaus has been in the insurance industry for most of his working career. A CPA by profession, he began his career in auditing and servicing insurance companies. Later, he successfully entered the insurance industry by establishing and running a Managing General Agency (MGA) for 20 years. Wanting to shake things up a bit, Klaus owned and operated a Harley Davidson dealership for the next portion of his career. But lo and behold, the insurance world drew him back and he is now the President of RIS. |
Klaus looks forward to bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to take RIS to its next phase of growth. He has been successful in his career due to his sound technical expertise in business, insurance, and finance, along with a high standard of excellence in customer service.
Employee Benefits Analyst
|Dilesha is the technical expert of the RIS team. Her focus is plan sustainability, analysis, and client retention. She has a passion for monitoring market trends and informing benefits strategy decisions based on industry changes. Dilesha comes to RIS with a strong analytical, technological, and risk management background. Her experience is well-rounded having worked as an analyst with a TPA (Third Party Administrator) and broker, as well as an underwriter with a leading carrier. Currently, Dilesha is working towards her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation, which will further her ability to provide our customers with the highest degree of personalized care. |
Dilesha is an award-winning speaker who is engaged with transformative technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain. In 2018, she founded a STEM-based not-for-profit with hopes of engaging youth in STEM-based careers.
Sweeny D’Souza, MBA, GBA
|Sweeny has been with RIS since its inception and takes pride in servicing clients from every sector of the market. She focuses on two aspects to win the trust of her clients: customer service and education. Sweeny has a strong background in business and financial management with experience in consulting, customer service, human resources, and project management. She translates the knowledge she acquired, in her MBA degree and her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation, in servicing plans and forging new paths within the industry. |
Sweeny loves travelling and in her spare time she even enjoys arts, crafts and DIYs! She also engages with her community through various organizations, using her experience to inspire young entrepreneurs to enter the world of business.
Marketing & Service Specialist
|Stephanie is part of our core team, helping to build and improve marketing and servicing functions at RIS. Her focus is providing support to clients and promoting the RIS brand in the marketplace. She comes to RIS with over 11 years of customer service employment under her belt, experience in the insurance industry, and an ability to think creatively. Her client-experience philosophy is all about relationship building and fostering those meaningful connections. She is passionate about ensuring that clients are well cared for and works hard to make sure that their needs are met. |
In her spare time Stephanie loves to pour herself into working with children. Whether it’s an after-school program or flying halfway across the globe to teach at an English summer camp, you’ll find her laughing, high-fiving, and encouraging youth to be the best they can be.
